 Hungarian School

AG00495_.gifActive parental involvement and our enthusiasm for teaching our kids the Hungarian language, culture and traditions all contribute to the success of the HAAW’s Hungarian school. The school provides a wonderful opportunity for families who are new to the Association or the Seattle area to get to know other Hungarian parents and children. It is a really fun place for our children to not only learn about their Hungarian heritage but meet other kids of the same background. We hope that our kids will always treasure the memory of going to Hungarian school and will form strong ties to the Hungarian community.

Instructor: Orsolya Homorodi

2.- 3. Ages 3 ½ - 7  (or older, based on the child’s ability to speak Hungarian)

Children in this class practice Hungarian songs, poems and play games.

Each class revolves around a different theme (e.g.: numbers, animals, plants, or family). The children participate in playful exercises that are specifically designed to improve their ability to understand and speak Hungarian. They also learn about Hungarian traditions and holidays.
